The Hindery Halo Effect

In another indication that a hope mashup in the form of ObamaCubs08.com is upon us, Obama campaign economic advisor and media/private equity big whig Leo Hindery is one of five remaining bidders for the National League Ballclub. Hindery, who made his money running AT&T Broadband and the YES Network, is competing against Dallas Mavericks owner and would-be Baryshnikof Mark Cuban, the Ricketts family (which started Ameritrade) and others for ownership of the Cubs. The $1.3 billion reportedly offered by Cuban is nearly as much as the Obama campaign is expected to bring in from the European Union.
